Bruce Mwape Facts
He was brought up in Zambia.
In May 2018, Bruce was appointed as the head coach of the Zambia women’s national team. Previously, they had been coached by Albert Kachinga. Later, Mwape went on to lead the team at the 2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Under Bruce’s coaching, his team qualified for the women’s football tournament of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The tournament was later postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, his team did not pass the qualification rounds.
He coached the team for the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations where they finished in third place. They even went on to play in the semifinals of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Ahead of the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup, he had previously been accused of s*xual misconduct in 2022 but has since denied the accusations.
