Fans express concern for Sean OMalley as Aljamain Sterling shows off ripped physique ahead of UFC

Aljamain Sterling is in serious shape ahead of his latest title defence.

‘The Funk Master’ will put his bantamweight belt on the line when he takes on top contender Sean O’Malley at UFC 292 in Boston’s TD Garden on August 19.

On Wednesday, Sterling posted a gym video that showed the impressive results of the ‘crash diet’ he is currently on to make 135lbs.

The 34-year-old flexed his abs, biceps, and back before looking directly at the camera and sending a message to ‘Suga’ ahead of their eagerly anticipated clash.

“You asked for this, baby! This is what you wanted. Let’s go,” Sterling said.

UFC fans flooded Sterling’s comment section to praise his physique and voice concern for O’Malley who has to share the Octagon with him in a couple of weeks’ time.

Sterling is not only a physical specimen, but he is also an elite-level MMA fighter.

The American has picked up high-profile wins over Henry Cejudo, TJ Dillashaw, Petr Yan, and Cory Sandhagen during his current nine-fight win streak.

Meanwhile, O’Malley has been working his way through the ranks.

After winning his first 12 professional fights, the 28-year-old suffered a devastating first-round defeat when he stepped up his level of competition by facing Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera at UFC 252 in August 2020.

O’Malley refuses to accept the loss and has forged ahead with his MMA career like it never happened, picking up three low-level victories before outpointing Yan last October.

He may never win a bodybuilding competition against Sterling, but with his height, reach, striking skills, and knockout power, O’Malley will be confident of becoming a champion at UFC 292.
