Rachel Lindsay Details Her Conversations With Hannah Brown About Her N-Word Scandal And Explains Why

While a guest on the latest episode of Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast, Rachel Lindsay further detailed the private discussion she had with Hannah Brown following her N-word scandal, As you might remember, the Bachelorette star previously made it very clear that she was not happy with the other celeb’s apology, especially since she’d reached out to her after she sang the N-word during an IG Live session.

Brown got in hot water after singing the lyrics to Rockstar by DaBaby and not skipping the offensive word.

While she tried to deny it at first, she later apologized in writing, posting a message on her IG Stories.

But later on, Lindsay shared her opinion on the whole thing, saying that she was hurt and offended, since she ‘gave somebody the opportunity to do that and it wasn’t done.’

What truly bothered her was that Hannah did not address her mistake via video!

During her virtual appearance on Viall’s podcast, Lindsay claimed she had ‘multiple conversations’ with Hannah, including on the topic of the apology feeling ‘insincere’ if not done on live video just like the mistake that preceded it.

Not only that but that was apparently the word Hannah herself used, which is why she was so disappointed that she chose to make a statement after all.

Lindsay recalled how Hannah ‘was very remorseful. She was very upset. She was embarrassed and she said she wanted to go on a Live. She was going to go [live] first and then bring me on. Twice, she got off the phone, telling me, ‘OK, I’m going to go do it. I am just going to go get ready.’ Hours later, nothing. Then, we’d talk on the phone. And then, hours later, nothing again.’

She went on to explain that according to the other Bachelorette star, it ‘was her team that was advising her to give a statement. And she said, in her heart, she felt that God had wanted her to use her platform for a bigger purpose. And she was going to step up and do that. So, to see her text me and say, ‘I’m going to give a statement’ was extremely disappointing because, you yourself, said that that was insincere. So why did you decide to do an insincere action?’
