Victoria Lee was the youngest fighter in the ONE Championship and the sister of MMA fighters Angela Lee and Christian Lee. She was born in Canada to a Chinese-Singaporean father (Ken Lee) and a Korean-born mother (Jewelz Lee).
She won the Hawaiian Pankration Junior World Championship twice, the Hawaii State Wrestling Championship once, and the IMMAF Junior World Championship once.
She trained at United MMA Gym in Hawaii with her brother-in-law Bruno Pucci, and Evolve MMA provided her with support.
Victoria Lee, a rising ONE Championship fighter, died last month, her sister announced on Saturday. She was 18 at the time.
Lee was the sister of Christian Lee, the ONE welterweight champion, and Angela Lee, the ONE atom weight champion.
Angela stated on Instagram that Victoria died on December 26. Although no cause of death was given, Angela’s announcement included a request for her followers to keep checking on their loved ones.
Lee, who was active on Instagram, made her professional MMA debut at the age of 16 in February 2021. Lee used a rear-naked choke to defeat Sunisa Srisan in the second round of her ONE: Fists of Fury debut.
She went on to win two more fights that year, both by finish, over Luping Wang and Victoria Souza, but she hadn’t fought since ONE: Revolution in September 2021.
Given her early success and pedigree, many people expected big things from her in the future.
